Reducing your consequential losses.

If one of your staff members is involved in a vehicle collision you may be unaware of how much that incident has actually cost your company.

"The real costAccidents happen! of a vehicle collision to a company can often be four times the actual repair costs," says SurePlan general manager Gordon Brown.

"There's the cost of repairs, but also lost productivity of the employee being off the road, the cost of administering the repair and insurance claim, the cost of temporary replacement vehicle and the increased insurance premium" he says.

SurePlan is a professional fleet risk management company that reduces accident related costs via its specialist collision and claims management system Fasttrack.

FastTrack was developed to permit efficiency and accuracy in managing collisions andadministering claims, minimising downtime and controlling the consequential losses.

FastTrack is a fourth generation motor vehicle claims and accident management system generally regarded as representing world's best practice, providing transparency with an on-line claims tracking and a detailed reporting application.

SurePlan offers a range of services which includes the management of incidents through a quality approved vendor network, claims services, third party recoveries, third party settlements, total loss salvage management along with driver training and a range of risk management solutions.

"Our clients include leasing and fleet companies, insurance companies, vehicle distributors and independent fleet operators. We help fleets identify their risk potential and work with them to minimise it," says Gordon.

"Statistically, we find that 15 percent of drivers are responsible for approximately 35 percent of collisions."

SurePlan's staff includes claims specialists, loss adjusters, and technical experts from within the motor vehicle industry; and all operational staff who have been extensively trained to assist drivers through the accident process.

Clients using SurePlan's services have the potential to reduce downtime and identify the risks within their fleet, giving them the ability to reduce incident rates, with significant cost saving benefits, compared to managing this process themselves.

"A point of difference is our FastTrack system and our ability to capture detailed information over the phone and record it electronically.

This is far more efficient than a traditional paper-based claim form, which is still widely used," says Gordon. "It means we can obtain greater detail about an incident, allowing us to act quickly getting the claim and repair process underway without unnecessary delay. This not only speeds up the repair and claim process, it allows us to produce detailed reports identifying any trends and areas of risk for the client's.
